Littering; Extreme effects on the environment

By Ibraham Danguir and Mohamed Omar

Littering, one of the most common and growing forms of pollution. Littering comes in different forms, whether someone deliberately throws trash on the floor or the person misses the trash barrel.
Many students walk by the school to notice the non-decomposable material lying around the near-by wastebasket. About a handful of people actually care to dispose of it properly for the least part.
Laziness is the cause for littering, and people who commit the atrocity simply don’t care. When it comes to it people either do not care or forget to dispose of the waste properly, but that’s not an excuse. More individuals should have a mind about how others are treating the environment. It’s a big problem, and should be fixed.
Deanne Mantia, health teacher at the Rumney Marsh Academy, thinks, “It’s terrible and has done a lot, especially to our oceans.”
Littering is going to be around for awhile, but we can definitely reduce the amount. We can educate people on the affects of it, and convince them to not. Obviously, there are more disadvantages of littering than there are benefits.
